Caroline considers herself a traditional painter but she can't help but to play with looseness, texture, perspective, and color. As a representational artist working primarily from life, her inspiration comes from pure observation of the ordinary world, as an act of wondering and truth-seeking which marks moments of grace in real time. Her current body of work is an exploration of artifacts and what they may have to say about the human story. And sometimes she just loves letting paint be paint.
